For any faithful readers out there, I'm sorry for the long delay in writing anything new. It is partially because of business (and laziness) but also because of a new opportunity I have found.
I recently joined JapanTourist.jp as their Hyogo Regional Partner. My job is to come up with original content about Hyogo Prefecture and help to build a community of contributors working to the same end. The website has only be live for about a year, but it is already the biggest source of Japanese travel articles on the Internet! This is largely because instead of having a few staff writers to create content, anyone on the Internet is able to submit articles or photo-stories. As Regional Partner, I'm also making sure that any of the submissions for Hyogo are up to the site's guidelines for quality.
It's really exciting to be a part of something like this. Please go to JapanTourist.jp if you want to have a look around. If you are interested in commenting on articles or submitting some, then please create an account. If you list your residence as Hyogo, I will automatically be assigned to assist you. If you do decide to comment or be a contributor, JapanTourist will reward you by giving you points that can be redeemed for a number of things in Japan, including hotel stays and even international airfare!
What this means for our blog, is that there will be far fewer posts here, and they will likely be in a more personal nature (stories less appropriate for JapanTourist). We might also start posting more personal photos to our Facebook pages. Less personal travel articles will now be featured on JapanTourist, and I will add a link here whenever I submit a new article there. My first article was about this year's Miki Hardware Festival. I have a couple more that will be up shortly.
Glad to see a new post and really glad to find our what you're up to! Sounds like you're in your element! Looking forward to reading your blog in the future.
